Came here on a recommendation from a friend and left with an appreciation for the food and service here. We came here for an early dinner, about 6pm. It was about half full at this point. We were greeted and seated right away, by the hostess and another lady (who we learned later was the owner).
We picked the Chicken Katsu over fried rice, along with the Sweet and Sour Pork with fried rice. The fried rice was fine, but what made the food stand out were the sauces they used. I could tell that the sweet and sour sauce they used was freshly made there. It had a hint of honey, along with the light sour vinegar taste. Overall it was delcious.
The Chicken Katsu had a sharper taste to it that I associate with a good demi-glace sauce I've had at katsu restaurants in Japan. It was nostalgic.
I'll most likely upgrade my review to 5 stars once I've tasted more items on their menu, but after this first experience I'll definitely be coming back!
