I'm not a fan of getting dressed up but after asking all of my Yelp friends where to go, I went to Brooks Brothers. Once I got there, John F. figured out what I wanted within minutes, and within a half hour I was measured and had bought some shirts and a belt. And I got them on sale.
Eleven days later, I went back and picked up my suit. These guys know what they're doing. If you need to get dressed up, go here. Sure you can buy a cheaper suit somewhere else, but you get what you pay for. And it wasn't really bad at Brooks Brothers. A suit, a belt, and 3 shirts, expertly fitted, were six hundred and change. The way people were talking, I had expected it to be at least a thousand dollars.
Epilogue (7/30/2013): I've worn that suit four times in three years. Maybe for me a cheaper suit would have been okay but when I wear it, I don't have to worry that the glue has dried out and a piece is going to fall off. I'd do it again.
