This location falsely accused me of damaging the vehicle I rented from them. During the initial inspection, Anas and I walked around the Toyota Camry looking for damage to the body. Aside from minor, insignificant scratches and dents, the car looked fine. I pointed out what was a *slight* dislocation of the grill on the front of the car, and I was told that this apparent damage wasn't a flaw on the body and to disregard it as such. I took the employees word for it, and was on my way. A week later, I returned the car before the location opened using the after-hours key dropbox. Later in the day - after my flight had already landed in Toronto - I received notice that the car was damaged and I would be held liable for the claim. It should be noted that there were no accidents during my rental period, and I fully inspected the car upon return to the location in order to ensure that no incidents had gone unnoticed while I was away from the vehicle. The only thing I noticed, once again, was a mostly indiscernible displacement of the grill.
In retrospect, lesson learned. I should've been more adamant about documenting the damage, instead of relying on the word of the staff. Fortunately, the credit card I used to rent the car provides primary rental coverage, and I don't have to pay the nearly $1000 claim out-of-pocket. As such, I am at no loss from the incident. My incentive in writing this review is to warn those who may consider renting from the location. And if you do choose to rent, perform as thorough of an inspection as you're able (before signing a contract) so you don't end up getting ripped off. Finally, avoid after-hours car return if at all possible. It seems you must now watch your back in what is ostensibly turning into a dishonest business.
