I hate to leave a bad review because I have worked in the restaurant industry for years and know how much they suck. This is not based on the food or atmosphere at all. Old fashioned has great food and is a really cool place to go to overall. The service though.....my god. I have sat at the bar a handful of times and the bartenders are friendly and fun. But the server staff is ridiculous. I went purely to dine there for the second time and had the same server in the bar area that I had the previous time (I was with a different group) and both times the group I was with felt uncomfortable and taken aback by her. I don't know her name because she never introduced herself I just saw the server number on the receipt 1102 I think...GIRL would it kill you to crack a smile?? Super cold personality and acts completely irritated that we had the audacity to walk into the restaurant. It was my friend's bachelorette party and I get it, it's annoying i hate acting excited for people I don't know as a server. But you just do it! At least say congratulations. Then just dropped our checks off and didn't say a word. Last time was exactly the same and she spilled water and didn't even say sorry just "I'll bring a towel" and then casually dropped it off in front of the person I was with for them to clean up. Wth. And it wasn't just her, another staff member dropped off the drinks (at least she smiled) and when a friend asked for a drink she said sorry I'm just dropping them off. No. You say "oh sorry I'm not your server but what would you like I can let her know." I mean is there no training here or no emphasis on how to act as a server?? I wouldn't say I'll never be back because I do love the food and drinks but I will never recommend it as a dining experience to anyone.
