I don't have much to compare these guys to, as I have never used a different shoe repair place. I have taken two pair of shoes here, however, and they have done a great job.
I do not know how long the people have worked at this place, but everyone seems to be 50+. This translates into experience, and they all have a lot of it. Everyone is very nice and the work is very professional.
You can also get dry cleaning and alterations done here, although I think they're a bit pricey on the dry cleaning. You may want to check, and it sure is convienient if you are dropping off shoes anyway.
Be prepared to pay a 50% deposit on your repair order when you drop it off.
Edit: I just got my shoes back and they are beautiful. Twice now I have taken used shoes to be repaired or re-worked, and both times they have come back better than the originals. Hats off, Coventry Shoe!
