Sprouts is like the sad, less cool, younger sibling of whole foods. It tries so hard to be like whole foods but it will always fall short. Essentially all the dried/boxed goods and produce are descent. They have a wider variety than other grocery stores nearby so that's why we choose to get produce here. However, the meat department and deli area is atrocious. I bought a lb of grass fed beef here that appeared nice and pink on the outside but once I got home and opened the package it was brown and smelled bad on the inside. That's actually a great metaphor for sprouts. On another occasion I was checking out and the bagger was loudly talking to the cashier about getting food poisoning earlier in the week from the sprouts deli.... This was an employee...admitting to food poisoning....from the deli..... In front of a customer.... Overall sprouts is good for produce and boxed foods but I steer clear of everything else.
