When visiting Vegas, our hotel of choice is the Mirage because of its location, comfortable rooms, and reasonable rates.
This visit, however, we decided to spend the extra $ and stay at The Bellagio.
The Bellagio hotel is quite beautiful. We had a fountain view room and absolutely loved it!
The reason for the 4 stars is because my teenaged daughter got stuck in a Bellagio elevator with 3 other guests for 10-15 minutes and the circumstances that happened afterwards....
After the Bellagio staff got the elevator to work again, she was met with a guest services employee who asked her numerous questions. And she was promised a $75 dining credit to a restaurant of choice on the property. About 10 minutes after her return, I received a phone call to our room from an employee asking how she was doing and if there are any questions or concerns I have for them.
The employee never offered the restaurant credit!!
After hanging up, I thought that this was wrong (because they had offered all the "stuck" guests a dining credit, but never offered it on the phone or how it works.) So I called back and mentioned their promise. The employee was apologetic and gave me the $75 credit as promised to my daughter.
Our choice was the breakfast buffet at the Bellagio.
At checkout, it was awkward.
We were charged and I explained.
The wait time was unsatisfactory.
Luckily there were notes, but it seemed like an eternity for the man at the check out counter to expedite the process...
In summary, it was an enjoyable stay. A beautiful hotel, but I think I will stick with the Mirage in the future. :)
