I was a customer of Windstream, while I lived in Kannapolis, NC, and then I moved to Concord, NC. On June 4, I called to have my service reconnected. I asked 4 different customer service reps, along with a supervisor, if I owed anything and they said no. They sent me over to new customer service. I paid the fee, and she said they were sending me out the modem and my service would be on in 2 weeks. That's a long time but I could wait. I received the modem, in the mail. The day the service was suppose to be on, no one showed up. I called the company and they told me I owed them $180! Really! I told them that couldn't be correct because 4 people told me I didn't owe anything and I received the modem, etc. They said they could take $53.53 off the bill but they couldn't turn on the service until I paid the bill which I have no intention on paying. I spoke with 3 supervisors and no one would help me. Don't use Windstream! I wish I had read the other yelp reviews before I signed up.
