I went in with massive abdominal pain. Sat for about 10 hours and they couldn't figure out the cause of my pain, so I was sent home with nothing. A few days later, St Rose Hospital was able to see I needed my appendix out, so I had emergency surgery there. You'd think the staff would at least be nicer knowing they are incompetent & probably won't do much for you. The guy taking my blood left massive bruises all over my arms. My doctor had zero empathy when speaking to me & other patients - her English was terrible, so maybe the lack of empathy for hurting patients is a cultural thing. There was no privacy. The doctor came out to the waiting area to tell people what was wrong with them - awkward sitting next to someone knowing they're just find out for the first time they have diabetes or the man across from me learning his throat cancer is back ... Because yes, this happened. Anyways, though this is the closest hospital to my home, I'd rather die on the way to another hospital than come back to Spring Valley. Sorry, not sorry ... Since I'm stuck with a massive bill for nothing.
