Oh - these donuts are SO GOOD. So much better than the other (coffee) shops. While trying to quench my sugar addiction, I often visited the other big donut chains - and I was stunned to find out that sometimes at night if you go into them they have a GRAND TOTAL of maybe 7 or 8 donuts on the shelf. I'm not talking 7 of each type - I mean if you add up all the donuts in the store you can't find a dozen! Which made me realize the other chains are mainly just glorified coffee pushers. And boy was I happy when I found out that Krispy Kreme is in Toronto. Their donuts are addictive. And it's not just the standard glazed variety. I strongly encourage you to try most of the varieties. If you do - I'll bet you'll be very happy you did. Some of them are amazing. And did you know that you can freeze their donuts? Yup. Take advantage of the great deal you get on buying 2 dozen and throw most of them in the freezer. Take them out a half hour before you want to eat one and they'll be fresh as can be. And remember, a dozen donuts is a great deal at somewhere near 10 bucks, but if you buy 2 dozen you get 2 dollars off.
