I will start by saying that I haven't been in this place in a long, long time. I have lived in the area for almost 10 years, and love to support green/ethical business, especially in my community, and went to the Green Beanery a few times when it first opened. The first time, I was just looking at Bodums, of which they have a mighty selection. The second time, I tried to get a coffee. The service was horrific. The lineup moved deadly slow, and the person working the counter was so un-helpful and standoffish despite my being nice after the long wait. I ended up leaving with a different kind of coffee than I'd ordered, which didn't taste very good, either, and have never gone back. More because of the terrible service than the coffee... there seem to be lots of choices. Hopefully the service isn't always that bad, but reading these reviews, I'm not going to give it another chance. There are lots of great patios and computer-friendly places in the Annex... I don't need to spend my money where I'm not at least treated civilly.
