EpiCentre Theaters, you're doing it wrong. The whole concept of a cinema pub is that patrons are comfortably seated and food is brought to them, not the other way around. I know you were aiming for something fun and trendy -- building a movie theatre within a restaurant/club -- but it's incredibly awkward to carry plates of food into a movie theatre, let alone a full glass of alcohol such as wine or champagne. I arrived at the theatre with what I thought was sufficient time to order my dinner. I was disappointed that the online menu was out of date and that my burger could not be prepared Medium Rare (they wouldn't cook less than Medium). When my pager finally went off, I was at least 10 minutes into my movie. I had to run out of the theatre -- much to the annoyance of my row mates (what did they expect in this environment?) and miss at least 5 minutes of the film. While there are screens in the hallway immediately outside the theatre, I stood at the bar awaiting my food. This was very frustrating. This movie theatre is overpriced and overrated. There should be service in the theatre and there's no point in paying for a reserved seat. Why are you charging New York City prices in Charlotte? Just because something is more expensive doesn't mean it's any better. It's still the same movie. The food was semi-decent, but the entire experience was not pleasant. You're better off having a nice dinner elsewhere and then going to a regular movie theatre. I only went here because it was Christmas and everything was closed; I wanted food and entertainment and, while I received it, it could have been a much more satisfying experience. Try harder. You certainly have the revenue stream to improve.
