FAVORITE restaurant in Pittsburgh. The staff is what makes BAR MARCO unique. Not just friendly and professional. They're exceptional. Always knowledgeable about the wine list and menu. Always interesting and interested. Even if the food was just very good, BAR MARCO would be the favorite...but, the food is EXCELLENT. Started with a fantastic dirty martini...capers instead of olives. Try the MEAN JOE...you'll be happy! Fresh hand made pastas, delicious salads...OMG, if asparagus is in season the white asparagus soup is a MUST. The menu changes often, which is exciting. Even though it is a small menu, there are ALWAYS three or four tantalizing choices. Don't pass up the desserts. The room is small and cozy. The service wonderful. Highly recommend.
