We were so excited about this piece, which came exactly 2 weeks after ordering it. The delivery was easy and scheduled, and the dresser was beautiful upon arrival. It is very good quality and exactly as pictured in the page, which is always nice to see when ordering online. We were, however, disappointed to see it had been damaged in transit - one of the boards under the top in between the drawers had been cracked in half. The damage was visible from multiple angles, but also a function problem as the top could potentially cave in at that area. But wait, this is a good story!
We contacted Furniture Creations (F.C.) immediately via phone and were told to take photos and given an email address to send them to. I got a super polite answer within 48 hours apologizing for the issue, saying they were talking to their transit company about the handling, and letting me know that they were reviewing the damage and would get back to me soon with a formal response. They emailed again the next day giving us options to fix it, one of which was hiring a local furniture repair to fix it up to a certain dollar amount.
After getting the estimates and opinions of 2 local companies, we weren't terribly pleased with the options F.C. had offered given the damage and the experts assessments of how it would look when corrected. We forwarded F.C. the proposals of both furniture repair companies and asked for a better solution. They then negotiated with us until we felt satisfied with the resolution, which included a partial refund that appeared back on my card the same day. Our email thread ended up being over a dozen back and forths, and in each correspondence F.C. was prompt, polite, and apologetic for the damage.
We are very happy with the dresser in general, like I said - it's a great quality and completely gorgeous. I am even more happy with the customer service and their understanding of the frustration we were experiencing. I would be comfortable ordering from then again knowing their pieces match the high standard expected with the price, and do fully believe it was damaged in the transit and was shipped without it.
