SAS Cupcakes in Blakeney is another cute cupcake store. Not only do they offer a variety of cupcakes daily, they have a large selections of candy, almost a candy wall, and several unique items, painted wine glasses, napkins, party treats and snacks. The store is tiny, with a cupcake station where they hold kids parties, where they get to decorate their own cupcakes. I have been in a few times while they have been happening and it is too cute! However, the small shop is even more of a nightmare to get around when it is packed with a party of kids... My Mom is a huge fan of their cupcakes, especially the Chocolate Chip served on Saturdays, so we often stopped by when she lived in the area. Although she loved their cupcakes I found them a little hit or miss, sometimes dry and sometimes moist, and unfortunately their frosting is just rich for me, very sweet. I was in the area this past weekend and decided to pick up some cupcakes for my Mom, as a surprise. Unfortunately it wasn't Saturday so no Chocolate Chip. I went with the Red Velvet, Cinnamon and two of their Pumpkin specials. The pumpkin cake was moist, but again frosting too sweet. Overall, cute little shop, will stop by when I am in the area as a treat for Mom, but nothing to write home about.
