Staff is courteous and demonstrate a sense of urgency. They were nice enough to stick around late to talk to me the same day I received my diagnosis. The surgeon called them and they squeezed me end of day. Ultimately, it's important to get a second opinion no matter what...this isn't a broken finger, it's cancer. I was urged to get chemotherapy and start as soon as possible. I wasn't presented options or alternatives. It would be chemo, surgery and radiation. Many of the services and tests are in different buildings and towns. My second opinion was a completely different approach. It was surgery, maybe chemo, radiation. After surgery, I would take the oncotype test. Ironwood never presented the oncotype as an option. Ultimately the oncotype showed chemotherapy would only reduce recurrence by 2%. Given those odds, we didn't do it. All of the services, tests, were in one building. And they coordinated w a plastic surgeon to be there during surgery.
