Sigh....Don't waste your time with their "liquidation" sale... When this place first opened, it was a great place to pick up reasonably priced computer gear, but over the years the quality of stuff sold dropped while the prices climbed. Most of the gear sold here (although new) is 2-3 years old, this is how they offer low prices. Their collection of widgets and accessories is great, but having to send away for a mail-in rebate (that never arrives) on just about everything is a business model that simply irritates customers. If you're going to offer a discount, just do it in the store, don't make us wait for it in the mail. Anyway, now that they have announced the closure of all their 'brick & mortar' locations, I went in with the hope of picking up some good deals on some gear for my home lab. What a waste of time. Much like the other US Retailer who is closing their Canadian stores and making a big fuss about their 'liquidation' sale, most of the 'better' gear had already been removed from the store before they even announced the 'liquidation sale'. Offering 5%-10% off stuff that you know you couldn't otherwise sell to savvy shoppers is NOT a liquidation sale. This is only one of many examples I could site from my most recent trip here: I was looking at an 8GB Kingston Hyper-X Fury ram expansion kit sticker'd at $110.00 with a "10% Off Liquidation" sticker under it. $110.00 - 10% = $99.00. I asked the guy if they were still price-matching other stores to which he replied "I think they'd be matching our prices, we're offering 'liquidation' prices now". I almost laughed in his face as I pulled out my smart-phone and showed him the web site of one of their local competitors who had the same ram kit listed at a REGULAR price of $92.50. Needless to say, i drove down the street and picked up the ram kit from their competitor. Unless you're desperate for a 'rare' widget they may still have lying around, save yourself the time and hassle and spend your money elsewhere...
