I purchased a car here yesterday and feeling like a sucker. Internet price for a new Versa Note advertised for $9977. A great deal. I contacted them asking their price out the door. Was told I had to come in to find out. Also told that since it was the end of the month the sales manager had authorized even more rebates and deals. So coming in was the best possible guarantee for the additional savings to happen. So happily I went in. But soon found out there is a nearly 20% markup ($1900) for the "Coulter Package" that they won't let you opt out of, or at least I couldn't. Had a 4.5 hour wait to finish all the paperwork since they were so busy. The additional rebates and incentives never materialized. They kept asking if I was happy. I said repeatedly I would be without the package or the promised rebates, but no deal. So now I'm feeling badly about the entire deal, the package I didn't want, the additional rebates they said that they had to get me in the door and the long wasted day. In the end the deal was on the low end of fair for the car based on Kelley Blue Book. Which was why I did ultimately buy. But nearly $2k more than advertised. The car is nice but the very base, but that was ok too I knew that from the listing. But, I am the fool to think the advertised price is indeed the actual price. But hoping I can share my experience to help others from being duped as well or hopefully you have better bargaining powers than I did and can actually buy a car at he advertised price...
