Like many who have posted before me about this place, where has it been hiding! If you want to escape the city, close by, and truly enjoy some peace and quiet this is the place. Tucked away is the Clark County Wetlands Park. It has a visitors center with a plethora of information for children and adults, and miles and miles of trails to explore. It's naturally where all of the washes throughout Las Vegas collide before running back into our very baron Lake Mead. It is a gem, and sad at the same time. It shows beauty, and the darker side of things. Throughout the wash you can see all of the litter that is thrown out in Las Vegas ending up in the waterways, that eventually make it to the lake. Makes you think twice of how you discard things. Great place for a brisk walk, or a photo op. They do not allow bicycles inside the park, but do have bike paths along the outside. A good place to prop up your camping chair, and just take in the sounds of rushing water.
