Our first park experience in Champaign was a great one.
We decided to visit the park with our dog because we noticed the awesome walking trail. Not knowing whether or not pets were permitted on the trail, we took a gamble and drove over anyway. To our delight-dogs welcome! We all enjoyed ourselves and had a nice time.
Super clean park, good parking (although we did visit on a cold April afternoon) and generally a good-vibe atmosphere.
Along with the walking/jogging trail Hessel also has nice tennis courts, picnic shelters, a great little playground, plenty of green space and benches. They even offer 'poo' cleanup and drinking fountain stations for your four-legged pal.
Being really impressed, we'll return again very soon. We're thrilled to see such a beautifully maintained park in Champaign.
