I was totally disappointed with the genmaicha I bought here for $14/100g. I've been buying from David's Tea and also Team Emporium and expected something similar given the price that Teaopia is charging. The tea was horrible, no taste and seems to me a very bad imitation of genmaicha. There is no roasted rice aroma and the green tea is very low quality. It's bitter and pretty awful. If someone has never tried proper genmaicha, they might think this is how it's supposed to be. The place sells itself as a fancy tea shop but I can't help believe it's trying to pass off poor quality tea and charge a lot of money to make it seem better than it actually is. I suggest people try the same tea if possible at other tea shops to really compare. I would never go back.
