YIKESSSSS! I walked in, the cashier was helping other customers so I looked around the pastry case. The cashier was very quiet and serious but what really got me was the fact that he was using the DISPLAY pastries in the case to sell. From what I know it's a display case for a reason. He grabbed the 2 oatmeal cookies from the case, which were stuck to each other, with tongs and proceeded to pull them apart on the counter top next to the case without any sort of protection. I walked straight out of there.
