I've enjoyed 2 meals at tempest; the first was about 2 months ago and the second was last night. Both dinners far exceeded my expectations- which is perhaps why I'm giving them 5 stars. For what Madison has to offer, Tempest has managed to stand out. I had heard generally mixed reviews, so that I had 2 overwhelmingly positive experiences seemed significant and worth a yelp.
Night 1: Quiet night out with my significant other.
Night 2: Last minute group reservation; the criteria of our one female guest was "I wanna wear a dress." Tempest seems to be large enough that they can handle last minute larger reservations.
FOOD: 5 Stars. The tenderloin with beef bone marrow was perfectly done and prepared. The sturgeon and lobster were also impressive. We all enjoyed a variety of cocktails- and all were beautifully presented and tasty.
SERVICE: 5 Stars. Our servers from both nights were exceptional, appropriately educated on the menu, efficient, entertaining and knew when and how to give us space to make decisions or enjoy our meal.
AMBIENCE: 5 Stars.
Tempest will easily be on our list for a future group reservation.
