I can;t believe how difficult it is to make an appointment at, not only, MD Anderson cancer center, but Banner Health Center in Peoria. I was referred by an emergency room doctor from Banner to MD Anderson Cancer Center. I was told a scheduler would call me to make an appointment. Remember, I have extreme abdominal pain. A week goes by and I have heard nothing, I called out there and explained my need to make an appointment with the Gastro specialist. They said they would have the scheduler call me right away. I did ask for her name and number before hanging up. 3 days later I call her and after several messages, which she didn't answer, I called and asked to speak to her supervisor. I was really hot and within one hour the mysterious scheduler calls me to make an appt. Her excuse is she doesn't have a phone by her computer!!! Have you seen that multimillion dollar building? That was a line of crap. It has gotten worse, they sent me across phoenix to one of their Banner doctors and he schedules me for an Endoscopy and it takes 3 MONTHS TO GET AN APPOINTMENT, remember I am in extreme pain. This is unacceptable!! I can't believe how unorganized they are. This has been going on Since my first visit in March and now we are into September and I am finally getting the Endoscopy on September 21st!
