This place had only been open 2 weeks when we first visited, so we expected a little oops in the service, but with Michael Mina at the helm of the kitchen, the food should be a bit more consistent. We had lunch and ordered Nachos as appetizers. Keeping with Michael's flare for food, the presentation was interesting as were the different flavors displayed on a baking sheet, not piled high with goopy cheese. The menu, which, by the way is not on their website yet, said the nachos came with green chili - at lunch, there were 3 small chunks of nicely flavored pork. A couple of days later we stopped in for a late dinner/snack, ordered them again, and yes, there was green chili with ample pork on them. The pork really adds to the whole taste of the dish. The Chicken Drumstick appetizer is just that - large Drumsticks - crunchy, gooey, delicious - the Lobster Corndogs are delicious too. We didnt order the lobster roll because we had had it several times at Nob Hill, our favorite Michael Mina restaurant that we were so sad to learn had closed in April. This Pub is NOT Nob Hill by any stretch of the imagination, nor is it Todd English's Pub at City Center.
