i've heard some good things about this place for a while so even though it's off the strip, i decided to give it a try... when we get off the freeway and kept on driving on Sahara... it' was a good 10 mins local drive w/o the red lights.... i was questioned 'are you sure this is the right direction? you sure this place is good right???' as soon as we get to the door, and was led to our table... we were happy... the decor, the professionalism of the servers, just somehow comforted us.
we shared one chef's tasting menu, and another entree is the rib eye... we didn't like the rib eye much... the meat was really tender and i loved that, but the sauce they put underneath the meat is just way too salty...
the chef's tasting menu on the other hand was a home run!! from the salmon tartar, foie gras (i know, i sweared that i won't eat foie gras anymore but.... this will be the LAST time!.... unless i see any other chances that i should not be missing................), filet... even the bass was totally awesome!!! absolutely loved all of these four dishes!!!! not a sinlge complain here!!!
the dessert though was just OK... i liked the creme brulee but chocolate cream pie was TOO sweet and rich for me.... careless of the other....
overall we thought it's totally worth the money... (except the rib eye) the servers were very professional (and took good pic too. lol) but i think we waited approx. 20-30 mins before the entrees actually came.... we were losing patiences there and the excitements & appetites were cooling down a little.... i could see that it was busy and there were still new customers coming in, but 20-30 mins was a little..... l.o.n.g......
again, overall i liked it a lot and i think everyone should give this place a try!!!!
