We tried this on a recommendation. It's not quite in the heart of the bustling Fremont crowd, which surprised me, but later, I was quite thankful for that. You're close enough to walk to the Fremont craziness but about 1-2 blocks away, enough to make an easier arrival/escape.
We were escorted to a cute little courtyard waiting area, which was cool. It looked like there were tables downstairs and upstairs (outdoor area upstairs?) although I never saw stairs inside. The downstairs is all I saw. It was small but had an energy about it.
1) Bacon Jam (baked brie w/ toasted baguette) = 5/5 (sweet and salty and spicy and sour all at the same time, very complex flavors made this very unique
2) Tempura Green Beans (pepper jelly cream cheese) = 5/5 (so glad my co-diner ordered this, the red pepper cream cheese was so tasty)
3) Baked Mac & Cheese = 4.5/5 (pretty darn good, solid mac n cheese)
4) Butter Burger = 5/5 (such a good burger, moist, unique flavors, seasoned well, melty cheese, yummy sauce)
I will say we each ordered a burger (which he told us was a full meal w/ spicy tots - also very good) and shared the bacon jam, tempura beans, and mac n cheese. This was WAY too much food for four people!! We loved our three shared items so much and think we should order 1 cheeseburger as a shared item as well instead of a whole burger for each of us.
Very high recommendation for this place.
