I live in San Francisco but am originally from Canada. My family recommended Cobs and took me there during Christmas break on 12/21/15 in the afternoon. Everything was fine and we ordered our pastries, but when I tried to pay I found that my US visa/debit card wasn't scanning properly. When I asked the store clerk if I had to do anything differently (as Canada seems to be mostly microchip oriented now, and my card wasn't), he shrugged his shoulders, sighed heavily, didn't assist me and basically dismissed my request for help. I proceeded to help myself and used a different card (with a microchip). In conclusion, the clerk was extremely rude and just handed me my items afterwards without any acknowledgement such as "have a nice day" or anything like that. My family really likes Cobs so this rudeness was a big surprise to them as well. I know I'm not going back to Cobs and I've recommended that my family doesn't either.
