Mike the Hatter was a downtown Cleveland institution for decades and decades, but has now moved to a somewhat hidden location in Broadview Hts, about 30 minutes south of the city (Hint- It's located along the side of Firefighters Credit Union). They carry over 2,000 hats in their store! You can also get maintenance and repairs done here, as well as purchase unusual accessories, for the serious hat aficionados. Hat boxes and traveling cases are available, too. The gentlemen working here are super friendly, always ready to answer questions and will help pick out flattering styles, so newbies, don't be nervous! My family always enjoys our visits here. They carry a couple of kid's hats, but women's and men's hats take up 99.9% of the store. Having a hat store like this is a fabulous resource for Cleveland and I love Mike the Hatter, but it's a shame that it's no longer centrally located. Wish the rent was cheaper downtown!
