This POS hotel now goes by another name - Charlotte Hilton Center City. I haven't stayed here, but feel I am qualified to review them. Read on..... My firm is attending a large conference in Charlotte, and unfortunately were placed here by the housing bureau. I requested two hospitality suites that we could use for meetings, along with five regular sleeping rooms. When the people from my firm arrived yesterday, the so-called hospitality suites featured ONE COUCH. Yes, that's right. ONE COUCH and ONE COUCH ONLY, as opposed to the couch, armchairs, coffee table, end tables and 3-4 other chairs that were supposed to be in the suites. Oh yeah, and one of the couches feature a BROKEN ARM. Nice touch. I called the GM's office as well as the conference events manager to find out WTF happened. No response, of course. This comes after several weeks of conversations with the events manager about room setup, furniture layouts, reserving a/v equipment, etc. to ensure that everything was done correctly. ARGH.
