Took an expensive antique wood plated clock to him a while ago but he came across as if he seemed to hate working on such clocks and this dissuaded me and resulted in me taking my clock elsewhere. I made the mistake of taking another rare antique clock to him just for an estimate. He made me leave it there for weeks and then asked me if it was okay that his friend helped him to repair it. I specifically asked if he would be sending it to his friend as I did not want the clock to leave his shop, to which he said no. However when I passed by his shop a week later, the clock was not in his shop and had been sent to his friend Edmund Zygowski of Motion Workshops in Fisherville, ON without my permission! Further when the clock came back he told me the price would go up unless I paid an advance for the repair. No one takes an advance on a clock repair! This guy is unethical and cannot repair clocks. Most clock technicians would have simply said that this clock cannot be repaired or referred you elsewhere. This guy just wants to be a middleman and make a fast buck. Even the photo of himself on his website is at least 25 years old. All his clocks are done by Edmund who actually works on them. Go see Edmund Zygowski directly and weed out this middleman if you have a clock needing repairs. Would never go back to this Little Shoppe of Horror-ology!
