Was craving for ice cream/gelato so I hit up the bookmarks for a new local spot and found Sweet Box. Disclaimer: This review is based on the gelato only. They have other goodies too, but after the gelato experience I may not get around to them. The selection is standard at about 10 choices and I went with the tiramisu. "One scoop, please." The scooper was then whipped out, and it's tiny one - so tiny it couldn't scoop a golf ball. After the first and only scoop, it was plopped into a clear plastic cocktail cup. It was a fairly big cup by proportion, so my bite-sized scoop was now looking more nibble-sized. Quickly, my 'gelato' started turning to sludge making me think this wasn't stored or mixed well. I wish I took a picture to show you but after my first bite, it was gone. With my craving unsatisfied, I walked over to McDonalds for an always reliable soft serve cone (at a third of the price of the one scoop at Sweet Box).
