Been here twice. Once with the girls for an afternoon drink and last night with friends for dinner. Liked the atmosphere--one long bar down the length of a narrow building. Came at 5:45 and found the place dead, The crowd doesn't come in until around 7. Had no trouble getting a four top. Our server was nice and and filled our every want. She checked up on us frequently.
My friend's shepherd's pie was more gravy than anything else but he did like the crust. Others had the fish and chips and found them very good--4 large filets with fries or chips. I wasn't hungry so I ordered the pretzel app. Yum! Warm and soft and perfect with my margarita.
The beer list is extensive and I was surprised by the wines available. Quite a few in every category.
The noise level in Irish Republic is what one would expect--loud. We struggled to hear conversations across our small table but it was a fun night. The music was not live but a mix of 80s-90s hits.
The tab for three dinners, a beer, cocktail, and a lemonade with tax, no tip, was $68. I would definitely go back.
