This is such a cute farmers market! It's not a far drive away from Uptown and easy to find even for directionally-challenged, out-of-state drivers like me.
I arrived on the earlier side on a Friday and there were ample free parking spots to choose from. To be totally honest, I visited for the free ice cream special. On select days within a 2-hour window, they offer samples of ice cream at no cost. I had a scoop of peach, and it was delightful and refreshing on a hot July day.
Inside the market, there are many expected stands from local producers and enough goods to complete a full week's grocery shopping at once. There's meat, bread, fruits galore, cheese, and even a local winery. I hesitated for a moment in front of the winery, thinking of family's sweet wine preferences, and found myself indulging in a couple samples before purchasing two fruit wine bottles as gifts from the super, super friendly owner!
I'd definitely recommend this open-air, down-to-earth market for folks in the Charlotte area.
