The park itself is nice. The lake is beautiful and the area is pretty well maintained. I'm not a big fan of the splash pad though. The drain doesn't drain well and the ground is slippery. This causes the kids to slip and fall a lot while they're playing. I wouldn't mind this so much if the water wasn't dispensed from huge concrete fixtures. It's only a matter of time before a kid cracks his head falling on one of those fixtures. Also, the kids were using the area like a slip and slide- running then flopping on their bellies and sliding across it. I understand that kids are kids, but my son is only 15 months old and he got knocked over by these 10-12 year olds more than once. Again, I was just waiting for this to cause a problem when one of them hit the concrete fixture. It's also a small splash pad and covered in leaves and bugs. The other ones I've been to have had a non slip surface and are better maintained.
