After waiting just over 2 hours to see Dr Tumialan, I can say it was definitely not worth the wait. His PA had more bedside manner and patient skills than the doctor. Had it not been for the PA's explanation and recommendations/suggestions the appointment would have been a total waste of time. I felt like because my husband was not a candidate for surgery (which we didn't know until the evaluation by the PA) we were wasting the doctor's time. There was no mention of him wasting 2+hours of our time. The evaluation by Dr Tumialan was more about him than about my husband. We had to prompt Dr Tumialan to discuss the recommendations the PA made. We left not knowing where to go for PT or pain management. Supposedly, we will receive an email. I can see a follow-up call in our future. What I don't see in our future is a follow-up appointment. We will be looking to the Mayo Clinic for a second opinion.
