Want to find a truly unique, handmade gift or try you hand at glassblowing? This is the place! There are other glass studios in town where, as a complete novice, you can experience parts of the art of glassblowing - none compare to Vessel Studios. While small and tucked away a block off Carson St., this is a great place with very friendly and knowledgable staff. Further, you are actually participating in A LOT more of the process than what I have experienced elsewhere. Kudos! I am no art critic, so will leave that up to the experts (whatever that term means). What I do know is after having done this a few times, this is NOT easy art to make. Hats off to anyone who can make art when temperature and split-second timing matters!!!! Here's another little secret - you can host your own glassblowing party! Bring some friends, hors d' oeuvres, and have an evening unlike any other. I haven't done this yet, but am planning it very soon. Oh, and talk about a great birthday party idea for those hard to please pre-teen/early-teen years! Thanks Drew and Chris!!!
