I decided to make a quick stop at this place after seeing a few advertisements on the side of the road and it's conveniently located right off the highway. It's a cute shop, very touristy with a lot of things to look at. They have souvenirs, jams, chocolates, candies, beers and, of course, lots of cheese. We purchased a pack of cheese curds, string cheese and a couple of six packs of New Glarus. The cheese curds were nice and squeaky and were successfully made into some tasty fried cheese curds the next day. The pepper string cheese had a good kick to it and was probably the best string cheese I've ever had. It was convenient to be able to pick up all these snacks in one stop, however, I noticed at a gas station a little further away, that the New Glarus six packs were almost $4 cheaper!!!!! I wish I didn't see those price tags at the gas station! I would have given this place 4 stars if it weren't for the inflated prices. And the employees weren't really friendly. No one greeted us or even attempted to speak to us, so we didn't sample any cheeses.. womp womp.
