My previous review was my first ever review on yelp & it was written for a gym contest, so let's be honest... now that I take yelp seriously, I've got to keep it real. I've left this gym over a year ago now, so I'm not sure if they've updated anything. (They probably have, they're pretty modern) This gym is 'A-ok' as 3 stars would say. Let me tell you.. it's a tremendously small facility - your house is bigger than this. I can walk from one side of the room to the other in 30s. This would be okay if it was an apartment gym, but no.. a lot of overcrowding at this facility and MANY high school kids from St. A. I would really look into expanding this gym.. maybe buying out the dollar store beside it. There are minimal cardio machines and I remember having to wait to use a treadmill several times. The squat rank and bench press often had to be shared with constant pestering of "how many sets do you have left?" And the stretching area is very small. It can fit 2 people comfortably. This facility was extremely clean and I feel like they have enough equipment to get a satisfying workout. A tip for you is to come here during the day or late at night- it's the least busy then. The bathrooms are always clean and big- one plus is that they have a shower. The owners and workers here are extremely helpful and friendly as well. One thing I do miss about this gym is the fact that they held monthly contests on 'who came in the most' and random draws. They also have a community on facebook, which was cute and fun. They also sell a lot of protein and fitness products at the front. The main reason why I left is because the price for what I'm getting is way too high. Over $50 a month even though I started with a few free months is not worth it. The place is simply too small and if I wanted to pay that much, I'd go to LA fitness/Goodlife/Markham gyms with access to pools/saunas/tracks and they have lots more machines. On top of that, they charge you yearly for 'updating' the gym and maintenance- which a lot of gyms do not do. It's another $50 for that.
