We were attending a concert at Ak-Chin Pavilion so I looked for something close by where we could stay. This place popped up for $89, which seemed very reasonable, so I booked it. The day of our stay I get a call from Loretta asking to confirm our reservation. I confirmed our party of four would be staying there and she asked if I would like to upgrade to the family suite (one king and two fulls) so I ask "how much"? She said the upgrade would be free. Sure, why not? High points: Clean lobby Free full breakfast buffet - not the most high quality food, but passable. Service - free upgrade I mentioned Things to note: Wife tried to make a phone call and the phone was not working. I later discovered it was not even connected. The thermostat in one of the two rooms was falling off the wall. The AC unit was, luckily, able to be controlled at the unit. The common areas of the hotel were clean but showed their age; wrinkled carpets, loud elevators... stuff like this. Comfortable and convenient, the free upgrade gave my family lots of room and allowed us not to be tripping over each other. I'd consider it if we ever are traveling this way again.
