My boyfriend and I stopped by yesterday to check out the inventory here. We are looking for something inexpensive for him, not because we can't afford something more expensive but we just bought a house and have more important things than a big car payment on a car we barely use anyway.
We were approached by a salesman that immediately seemed offput and annoyed by the fact that we wanted something cheap. He said he was going to check in the back for something in our price range, instead he went and talked to another salesman who came over to talk to us. The first guy went over to a scion for sale, opened up the trunk and sat on it. Kind of a lazy image to be projecting. As we were leaving we could see the first guy laughing and shaking his head, presumably at us. You know when people are talking about you.
My experience here left a bad taste in my mouth. I just bought a used car at the jaguar/land rover dealership and was shown more respect there even though I wasn't buying an expensive car. I will purchase my next vehicle from them.
You shouldn't judge people by what they are driving or just because they don't want a $40k or more car. We could buy the $65k tundra if we wanted, together we make over $140k.
