As soon as we entered the place, nearly all of us (amongst 3 humans and a cat) felt an urgency to turn and leave immediately.
The stench within was atrocious, as if nobody had bothered to clean properly in months, perhaps years. It was quite dreadful, and previously nonexistent upper respiratory issues developed in our elderly indoor cat immediately following the visit.
Coincidence?
I think not.
Furthermore, the "substitute" veterinarian was neither agreeable nor seemingly interested in the patient brought in for his examination. His energy was awkward, bordering on agitated, his manner disagreeable, and all of these traits seemed to amplify when the cat seemed reluctant to exit her carrybag for him (which is odd, because this kitty loves everyone & cannot seem to restrain herself from running around in the other veterinary office).
However, other staff members seemed friendly, reasonably kind, and tried their very best to provide necessary components for home treatments prescribed by other clinics. If not for their willingness to serve our patient reasonably well, this review would likely contain one less star.
Truly.
Perhaps the regular vet is lovely, and I truly do not wish to hate on this place mercilessly, but I can honestly see us going back there (without the cats) only to pick up sterile supplies in a pinch.
