I've consigned and shopped here for about two years, and it's one of my favourites. Since I live in the south end, it's also the most convenient for me to get to whereas I visit other consignment stores around 17th Ave over lunch break or just after work, which is usually a more rushed experience.
The selection isn't overwhelming - it's a small enough size so that you can browse all the racks without spending a ton of time, but large enough that they provide a great range of styles and sizes. The new location just a few doors down from the previous spot is even more spacious and the layout is really pleasant. No racks jammed full of clothes that are impossible to browse. Plus, parking is always easy to come by!
I love that there's now a dedicated drop-off area. They'll go through your items on the spot while you look around and will either donate or return whatever they don't choose to take. I typically end up leaving with 30-50% of the items I've brought in, which I feel is fair. The only thing I wish they had from a consignor's point of view is an online system to check the status of your account. The one I've experienced at another shop provided details on what items were sold/unsold, date they'll be kept to, dollar balances, etc. Still, you can always phone in to check on your account.
Overall, I've purchased some of my most-worn wardrobe items here - especially footwear and tops - and I know I'll continue to return in the future!
