I am happy to see a place like this open! It's nice to have sweet treat alternative to cupcakes. I've been to Jelly a couple of times now, and have tried classic jelly, s'mores, chocolate dipped, red velvet, and honey dip with sprinkles. (really, I shared the donuts...) I think the yeast donuts are delicious, but I thought the cake donut (red velvet) tasted too much like deep-fry oil. I agree with previous yelpers about the price and the service. $2.25/ea is a lot, especially when you are getting six or twelve. Although, the price is comparable to cupcakes. The service is confusing and slow. I waited 5 minutes this morning for one donut, and I was the only person in line! The staff seem to be preoccupied filling orders that have been phoned in. When they are busy with in-store customers, it might work better to use each till instead of one till for ordering and one till for paying? It would also be nice if they made more of the small size donuts. Obviously they are popular, please make more!! Of course I will continue to go to Jelly Modern, the honey dip with sprinkles is just too good.
