Just stayed here two night ago and had a great stay. I'm a Marriott Gold member so I stay with the Marriott brand a lot throughout the year. I'm very picky with hotels but I've always enjoyed the atmosphere and service at the various Courtyard's that I've stayed at. To be honest, the front desk gal wasn't the most engaging nor friendliest but overall it was a satisfactory process getting us checked in. The hotel just went through a renovation so the rooms and common areas were brand new looking and well maintained. The only thing I would change about the room is to add a Keurig machine. The one we stay at in San Diego is identical to this location but they have a Keurig instead of the cheap coffee machine and it makes a world of difference for convenience. We enjoyed the bistro and bar as well. The gentleman that was bartending was very friendly and knowledgeable and checked on us many times as we enjoyed our cocktails on the recliners and watched the basketball game. To us the food was not as good as we've had at other Courtyard's but apparently this location is a test run for the menu we were told. We had the caramelized onion and bacon dip and it was phenomenal. Seriously one of the best appetizers we've ever had. Later in the night I had the bistro burger and fries and my wife had the pot pie. She was definitely not impressed by any means with the pot pie as we got it to go to the room and it came in a dixie cup type thing and didn't really resemble a pot pie. My burger was about a 4/10 and tasted more like a fast food hamburger than anything. Quite small as well. Overall it was a great place and we'd definitely stay again in the future if we needed another break from the Strip. One cool thing is they have a complimentary shuttle that goes every half hour to Mandalay Bay and that was great. The van driver was also very friendly and knowledgeable about the area.
