I was in Canada for work but had a few hours to kill and saw that the LCDH was in walking distance and paid it a visit. Seeing the familiar sign I stopped in and checked the goods. Here the guy working made no commentary asked me no questions and was quiet as a shadow. I perused the wrong room apparently and did not even know there was a vintage room until someone on Instagram commented on my photo later in the day. I only ended up pickung up a Partagas Serie P No. 2 for $40 and a Bolivar El Libertador for about $56. It is easy to criticize here that a full box of PSP No. 2 is about $220 or so and El Libertador can be had for $170 a box, but I will argue it is just like when you go support your brick & mortars - it is about the experience and supporting the business, not about the cheapest you can find the cigar. I digress - I lit up my Partagas Serie P No. 2 and enjoyed it quite a bit and the classy bold Partagas spice showed up near the end. There was an American couple who showed up and declared that the cigar they smoked tasted "illegal" and I just kept my comments to myself. They were not friendly or open to small talk so I knew they were not cigar people in general. I find that in most cigar shops in America people are very friendly and always down for a conversation. After this I lit up the Bolivar El Libertador and a well dressed couple showed up. They got some champagne and were enjoying themselves. They were enjoying themselves so immensely that they began making up non-stop in the middle of this small lounge but Viva les Canadiens! One has to enjoy life sometimes at the expense of others, so bravo for the bravado (I guess)!
