University Pointe was not an ideal place to live. The rent was relatively inexpensive, and when you're a poor college kid, you think anything is worth the cheap rent. I am telling you now that this place was not worth it. First day we moved in, the sewage line was broken which meant our entire apartment not only reaked of sewage on a day that was 110 degrees, but it also took hours just to get anyone from the facility to help us. Cockroaches were a common sight on our floors; they were there the moment we arrived to the unit. The front office will be almost no help to you at any point during your lease. Most issues you bring to them will result in an expression as if you are wasting their time with your problems. Also, if you have an issue with billing or a recurring charge that shouldn't be there, be prepared to pay it anyways because the leasing office won't make the effort to stop charging you even though they make the implication that they will. Altogether, this place is not a good experience for a first apartment outside of college dorms, and is fine if you are okay with paying for poor living conditions. (Also as a side note, a selling point they try to use when you are a prospective renter is that the brick walls in your apartment keep it cool during the heat of the day, I am telling you now that the brick walls did nothing but insulate the apartment and make it feel like a brick oven.)
