I have been trying to find a good pair of walking shoes for our upcoming trip and have tried several pairs (at least 7 have been purchased and returned to Zappos). I went to the Walking Company at the Arrowhead Mall and had a FABULOUS experience. There was one woman (store manager) running the entire shop and was working with several customers at one time. She was upbeat, informative, knowledgeable and HAPPY! She greeted each and every customer with a smile and a kind word and no one felt as if they were slighted.
She fit me using their incredible technology that actually shows how you walk and where your hot spots are - and then she emailed it to me. She recommended a few pair of walking shoes (they have lots of styles from which to pick - I wanted more of a tennis shoe) and I found one that fit well and bought it. No worries about having to just wear them around the house though. Their guarantee - buy the shoes, wear them and you have 30 days to return them. So even though they were expensive ($130) I could return them if they did not work out.
I have worn them last night and for several hours today and I am happy to say - so far, so good.
I brought my husband back to the store and he bought a pair of shoes too! I could have bought these over the Internet and maybe saved a few $$ but it was well worth the price to be fitted by the charming store manager and receive my personal recommendation for my fit and shoes! CHECK IT OUT!
