I had been wanting to try Jenn's for quite sometime, but they fell drastically short of my expectations. The service aspect was definitely lacking and the food was even worse. Working in the food industry for years, specifically with sweet baked goods, I appreciate a good cupcake. Unfortunately, it was very apparent the ingredients used were sub-par at best. From lack of moisture in the cupcakes, to the very apparent use of cheap extract that barely made the lemon cupcake taste like lemon at all, to the gross misuse of food coloring- vanilla cupcake with neon green icing is not only unnecessary, but so much coloring was used it tasted awful. I will most certainly never go back to Jenn's. Several bakeries in the area, most specifically in neighboring downtown Belmont are on par with price and far exceed the quality of ingredients, experience and talent of Jenn's. I assume Jenn's jumped on the cupcake craze bandwagon in the past 5 or so years simply because they could, but hopefully will be weeded out with other also-runs and true bakers will prevail.
