I recently moved to Charlotte, and was looking for a salon to get my balayage done. I saw all of the positive reviews on Yelp, and figured I'd give this salon a shot. First I want to say, that they do not do balayage correctly here. The whole purpose of balayage is to have dimension, so that you can go months without getting it redone. That's not what I received. My hair is saturated blonde, and the roots are not done. There's no way I'd be able to go more than 6 weeks without fixing the color. Secondly, I was quoted one price on the phone, and then my hair was lifted too light so a toner was needed, and was charged an extra 30 dollars for the toner. I'm sorry, but if your colorist knew how to do the color correctly, that would not have been needed. Finally, the atmosphere. This salon is no larger than my living room. The sink for washing out color is awkwardly in the middle of the styling area, so you're able to listen to the stylists complain about their customers while you get the color rinsed from your hair. For the prices they charged me, I expected this place to be a lot better.
